+ Category II*
Category 2 is internal connections, basic maintenance of internal connections and MIBS including, but not limited to:
- Wireless Access Points
- Cabling
- Caching
- Firewall Services and components
- Switches
- Routers
- Racks
- UPS
- Wireless Controller
- Wi-Fi Software
- Managed Wi-Fi Services
- And the maintenance of these eligible products

Wi-Fi on Busses
Starting with the 2024/2025 E-Rate funding year, school bus Wi-Fi will be eligible for E-Rate support. There are still a lot of unknowns, but the FCC voted 3:2 to adopt a Declaratory Ruling making school bus Wi-Fi eligible. You can find that ruling here.
After the FCC adopted this ruling, they released a revised Eligible Services List (ESL) for comment. You can find that ESL here. They are hopeful this process will not delay the opening of the 2024-2025 E-Rate window.
